Christmas Cub
I have a older emachine computer that I am going to use to run 32 channels it is a 900 mkhz 512RAM it has both a 9pin serial port and USB comm port. I elected to use the 9 pin port so I bought the SC485 adapter to communicate with the controllers. When I put power to the controller I get a flashing light and the HW utilityprogram does not choose a comm port I have to physically click on to the right port which I've checked through the device manger of the computer. anyway it shows I'm connected but the light still flashing which indicates to me that the computer and the box are still not communicating.. So any Ideas how get them talking?
cmoore60
test your cableIs cable plugged in well?connect everything THEN launch the hardware utility. have it scan for the device, IF it cannot find it THEN select it manually. Should only need to select manually if your comm port is over like com10Chuck
