Sinetty
So, LOR had there summer sale, and i purchased one of the beginner packages. I have a friend that brought his set up over last year for halloween and it was such a kick i had to get one myself. Anyways, i wanted to add some new music to the playlist, but when i go into the sequence editor and try to start a new musical sequence, pick my MP3, if gives me an error for 'Unable to get total time of media file'. Has anyone come across this?
PhilMassey
The media file may be bad or it may be in the wrong format. MP3 files need to be in a constant bit rate format, CBR. Many are in a VBR or variable bit rate. Most here run their files through a free audio editor called Audacity to re-encode the file in CBR. You can also use WAV files providing you don't use a director.
Sinetty
I ran multiple different files through audacity and exported to 128kbps in CBR, all come back with the same error. This is driving me BATTY. (No pun intended)

PhilMassey
Very likely just doing the reinstall fixed a broken file or something. Wouldn't be surprised if you went back that it would still work now. Whatever works........
