David in Apache
I've used Light-o-Rama for many years and switched to S5 when it first came out. This year when I start my shows there is a long delay in between sequences. I changed the show to load all sequences before playing. It takes about 7 or 8 minutes for the show to start, but there is no delay in between sequences. Last year with S5, I had to generate a .play file and put that in the show. With this version, the option to generate the play file is gone, but I can use the *.loredit file in the show instead...Am I missing something here? Has the *.play file been eliminated? Is there a better way to prevent the delay in my show?
k6ccc
I take it you are running 5.3.something. Yes, they changed the process with 5.3. The Play files are created upon the first run. The first time you run a show (for your own testing presumably, it will create the play files. That may take a while, but after the first pass, it will be "normal". My personal opinion is that this change is not for the better.. I assume it was done to make it more idiot proof.
