Exporting SS Sequence

Brian, you are a gift to humanity!  But, please update your tutorials.  I have and old SS sequence I updated and want to export it to the sequence editor.   Its been awhile so I watched the tutorials.  Now I am really confused!   Under "Export Sequence to Sequence Editor", Do I select "Export in Legacy Format" or "Export in New Format" ?  Which boxes, if any, do I check under the desired option?

If you are using S5 then you no longer need to export sequences, you simply shut down superstar and the sequencing automatically gets saved into the S5 sequencer.

If you are using S4 then you have a choice of exporting in legacy format (the .lms files you know and love" or in the newer format (intensity data). If you have 16 CCRs or fewer and do not have problems with lag, then I would stick with .lms file.

Are you using S4 or S5? And how many pixels do you have?

Brian, I am using S4 and have 6 CCb controllers with two 50 bulb stings each. I will stick with the .lms files.  Thanks for explaining the difference between legacy format and the newer format.

If you do ever want to use "intensity data" files, you need to have the com listener running. The com listener will be running if you have the lightorama control panel running. When the lightorama control panel is running you will see the lightorama light bulb in the lower right of your computer screen.

You will also have to set the network to "enhanced." To set the network to enhance, launch the Sequence Editor, click on the Edit menu and select Preferences, then network preferences. Click on the line for the network and a dialog box will pop up. In the dialog box click on the box that is labeled "enhanced."
