texmaster Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Hi Folks, We do a show that has both light and video synchronized with light o rama and I've been looking for a way to run wireless video to the projector at night. My projector isn't new so VGA is about as good as I can get but its just singing faces. This is what I thought about using between the laptop and projector https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FB1NTP6/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=A3OI2CVBA9DB25&psc=1 Not looking to break the bank.
texmaster Posted July 2, 2019 Author Posted July 2, 2019 Wow really? I never thought I was the only one who thought about wireless video for my display
toddm1919 Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Tex, There are two issues that I see.. 1. The device you show show is composite video so you would either need have a computer that outputs that or get a converter. 2. I tried this technology a while ago, not for LOR just to transmit video from one room to the next. I did not have very good luck with it. There was a lot of interference, especially when the microwave was running. 1
GRG Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 From my experience with wireless video, (not running through LOR) is lag and stuttering.
texmaster Posted July 13, 2019 Author Posted July 13, 2019 I was afraid you guys were going to say something like that. I wonder if wireless hdmi would be a better option. Its more expensive but if I could cut the cord it might be worth it.
toddm1919 Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 I have never tried it, but would think you would still have issues. Is there no way to run a cable? I run through a 50 ft hdmi with no issues. It would be the best quality you can get. 1
texmaster Posted July 13, 2019 Author Posted July 13, 2019 Oh no I can run a cable but it goes across the sidewalk and I'm trying to eliminate any cords kids can trip on. I've already buried all power lines for the lights and run them under the sidewalk. This one claims no latency issues https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H7FJ2TF/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A38ECSN629PF0W&psc=1 And with this converter on each side it might work. Might.... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K4W62R4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A14L9DIA3NK9B0&psc=1
