JESonger
I was surprised when my 25x16 Pixel Tree kit arrived and S5 software downloaded that nowhere were any instructions on what this complete newbie to everything needed to do to configure one in the other. I thought I finally figured it out, but no cigar. I manually programmed a rainbow scrolling down the tree, which looks right on screen, but totally wrong (visually stunning, but wrong) when played in a show. And I can't find any options to launch SuperStar from within a sequence. So the tree I'm seeing on screen isn't recognized as pixels configurable by SuperStar, nor is it mapped correctly to the physical tree. Can anyone please guide me through what I did wrong, or point me to an informative tutorial to get this tree working correctly? -John

dibblejr
Since you are new to LOR, may I recommend S4 and I can get your lights up in Minutes. Then after the holidays you could venture into S5. JR

Then after the holidays you could venture into S5. JR Actually the Pixel Tree kit is easier to set up in S5 than it is in S4. In S4, follow these instructions: http://www1.lightorama.com/PDF/PEwithPixelTree16x25-RevA.pdf In S5: Open your preview. Previews are described here: http://www1.lightorama.com/downloads/5.2.2/help/concept_preview.htm Click "Add Item" http://www1.lightorama.com/downloads/5.2.2/help/design_tab.htm Quoting from that help page: Light-O-Rama props (online) This option will allow you to import props for items sold in the Light-O-Rama store, such as pixel trees and singing faces. It is recommended that you have internet access when using this option so that you see the latest available content (content will likely change over time). You should review the channel assignments on any imported props to make sure they match your controllers.

dibblejr
Ok, that post didn’t work and exit I had no typing area. IDK what I was going to say was, yes being a developer and knowing S5 that may be true. But I can only help someone in a subject or area I am versed on. So my replies to individuals about S5 is based on whether they would like my full assistance from box to lights or partial. As I told this gentleman on the phone “if you know S5 well enough I can get you Lights, if you don’t it will be like the blind leading the blind but we can still manage”. We did get his issue figured out and his pixie8 now is working right. He just has to wait for his adapter to get in to set up a second network. Thanks for the links though because possible one day I will set up S5 on my dummy computer to delve in to. JR
