movieman4 Posted December 1, 2018 Posted December 1, 2018 Hello, i run a christmas lightshow in the Netherlands using light o rama controllers. some items of mij display are lit (leak power) even when the controllers are in stand by. how can i solve that? i use american light strings and put an transformer to 240V between the lights and the controller. TIA! Ronald
a31ford Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 (edited) Hilsen Ronald! Greetings Ronald ! Have you tried a normal incandescent light bulb (120 volt, same as light strings) very short cord (2 to 3m) in the channel in question ? Why I ask, is that if your strings are LED, sometimes they can become "capacitive loading" and fool the channel into not turning off. Edited December 3, 2018 by a31ford in english also.
movieman4 Posted December 3, 2018 Author Posted December 3, 2018 i use all led becourse incadescent costs a lot of energy. i use like 15000 led lights over 80 channels. some items are 20 metres from the controller i cannot do anything bout that.
a31ford Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 try the nightlight (real Bulb) as a test..... one channel on one controller that the channel is staying on. most nightlights are 7 watts. this is a test, NOT a final solution.
