ovsims
Can some one point me to where I can find out what the differences are between V1, V2, V3 on the CBT16PC. A guy down the street from me is selling a V1 and when I came to look it up I find that there are 3 version of it. So I'm guessing a V1 board is pretty old and should probably stay away from it because it may be reaching end of life soon. I need something to run all LEDS
k6ccc
I can't tell you the difference between V1 and V2. V3 is different in that it can run on enhanced and faster networks. Also dinning curves are supported on V3. http://www1.lightorama.com/network-speeds/ will have some information.
ovsims
I bought a RTG 16 channel in November. I would like to be able to control more lights. My fear is buying one that's V1 and not really knowing how old it is and connecting it with a V3 I'm assuming thats what I have now. Not really sure if they will play nice and how long I could expect the V1 to last.
Santas Helper
V1 will play nicely together. There is no expiration for controllers. I use about a dozen V1 controllers from 2006 and they play perfect with S4.
ericm
I have a mix of V1,V2, and V3... no issues as of yet out of my 26 controllers. From what I have been told is that it probably won't matter until you have a high number of boards on your network.
