Remove fades from an existing channel?

Hi all,

I have existing sequences that I was to now put a device on that can't be dimmed / faded, ramped, etc... Is there an *easy* way to change all the events on that given channel to just on/off events?

Maybe. Depends on exactly what you want to do.

Perhaps you want this:

(1) If a cell in this channel is totally off, leave it off.

(2) Otherwise, turn it on, no matter what it is now (that is, no matter whether it's currently a fade, a twinkle, a set intentsity, or whatever).

If that is what you want, there's an easy way. You want to use the "On" tool in conjunction with the "Foreground Effects" tool. There are several ways to do so. For example:

• Select the entire channel.
• Right click somewhere in that selection.
• From the popup menu, select "Foreground Effects", and then "On".
