dl20415 Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Has anyone else noticed a higher than normal failure rate in blue leds? My display is red and blue. Last year I had at least one third blue fail, and no red! This year it is worst! I decided to phase out the blue with green.
George Simmons Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Where are you getting those blue LEDs? I've been using commercial grade sealed LEDs since 2009. All colors combined, with over 300 strings in service, not including critter damage I lose about one string per year.
Santas Helper Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 I'm with George. Still using some I purchased back in 2006 purchased from CDI. I get all my R, W, B & G LEDs from CDI and haven't hardly any fail in 10 years.
dl20415 Posted October 22, 2017 Author Posted October 22, 2017 All my lights were purchased from CDI. I must say, they stand behind their products. Last year they replaced all the blue leds that failed!
