JetForMe
I just got my LoR 16-channel controller set up. I'm hoping to use it in a haunted house setting to control some incandescent "Edison" bulbs. The overall effect I'm going for is for the lights, at random (longish) intervals, to flicker and dim, as if there were an imminent power failure or ghosts or something. I've been trying with the Shimmer effect to get this periodic dimming. It's not random, but I can sprinkle a few variations of it. I do very short Shimmer bursts, with On time in between, in quick succession. The question I have is: what, exactly, is the shimmer? Is it a repeated ramp between 100% and 0% intensity? Does it just turn the light off and on very fast? Can I set a lower and upper intensity limit (so it only goes down to 50% brightness, for example)? Thanks. Mr. P
Shimmer is a fast preset on/off, twinkle is more random and slower.
ericm
what you can do is split the timing up to a lot of times and just do an on-off-on-off in very fast succession. I use this method when i want to control the shimmering effect.
