Chrisgeoguy Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Quick question...When ordering Male and Female plugs for my STP 2 wire...I ordered SPT 1 Male ends (accidentally) and SPT 2 Female ends. I was able to use the SPT 1 Male ends to make an extension cord, but just wanted to check to see if this was a risk due to the difference in insulation. The cord worked when I used the SPT 1 Male and The SPT 2 Female. Anyone have an input as to why this would be a bad thing or be dangerous? Thanks for the feedback.
jerry72 Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 NO only difference is the insulation. I have several cords that are like that. As long as the "fangs" puncture through, yer ok. .015 difference in the insulation is not mas much as people think. 1
