k6ccc
CZE-05b or CZH-05b, and the generally accepted high end is the EDM radios (especially if you want RDS). I have been very happy with my CZE-05b.
rcktpwrd
I just got one of the CZH transmitters yesterday to replace a Ramsey fm-25b that decided to quit working on opening day! Plugged it in set it to low power output, set the station and had perfectly broadcast music! Just using the supplied antenna I have a block or so of range, just right! https://smile.amazon.com/CZH-CZH-05B-Wireless-Broadcast-Transmitter/dp/B01JS39622/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480632132&sr=8-1&keywords=czh-05b

Woodro
I just got this earlier this week, $50 and about a 4 block range, works great. Plus free shipping! Signstek 0.5 W 05B Dual Mode Long Range Stereo Broadcast Home FM Transmitter with Antenna https://www.amazon.com/Signstek-Broadcast-Transmitter-Antenna-Fashion/dp/B00CM2VPMQ/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=MACVM51P6AFZ53JF3MVV
drmoon68
I purchased the above from https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003FO4UHW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The device would not power on. I could tell before opening that it was a returned item. Had the return label from the previous purchaser. Perhaps it is the amazon shipper and not the product itself. I wish it is had worked.

CZH-05B for me I use the Czh 07 as well. Pretty good transmit power and no need for a big antenna. Well under $100 on eBay.

Old Sarge
CZE-05b or CZH-05b , use the rubber ducky antenna. be careful and remember DO NOT POWER IT UP with the antenna not connected.. Turn the gain( Left Knob) to about the 11 o'clock position and I think you woill be happy.. Use low power so you do not broadcast out to far... You dont want the FCC come knocking.. If you have problems with sound going high and low etc... use MP3 Gain to even out the volume on your music/ sound files. It is a free download.. also I would recommend get Audacity to work with sound file. Both are free downloads. Many here will tell you the same.. http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/download.php Edited December 10, 2016 by Old Sarge

Although I don't use MP3 gain for LOR purposes, its a good piece of software. And the CZE xmitters are REALLY good for the price.
Sctiger
I have the CZH-05B as well. It works great out of the box. One caveat though, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I did purchase one that was never used from an individual and it lost its mind the week before Thanksgiving so I went ahead and ordered a new one from Amazon. I called customer service and left a message. Still waiting on that call back lol. Just playing devil's advocate here, with the $100 and some change I paid for the new one plus the cost of the other, could I have bought a more reliable one? You can certainly spend more, even a LOT more, but why? My CZH-05B has worked flawlessly for five or six years now. It gets used almost year-round. IMO, it's the best bargain in this entire hobby. I can't comment on their customer service, though, as I've never needed it.
Old Sarge
I wonder how he knows the one he bought 2nd hand was actually never used... Maybe he personally knew the seller of it so new it was never used... If it came from Craigs etc... who is to say if it was used or not or was turned on/ powered up with the antenna not attached to it. Many people do not read instructions before they just plug something in and turn it on.. The first one I got would not change freq from high back to low... I called the comp[any about it and got immediate response from them and they sent me a new one even without asking for the old one back first. When I received the new one it included return label to send the old on back to them.
