dankenney50
I am wondering what might cause a channel to stay on all the time? As soon as the unit has power channel six on my box turns on. It stays on when the show is playing, and also on when no show is playing. I cant turn it off in the Hardware Utility Any ideas's
k6ccc
You didn't tell us what kind of controller, but assuming it's an AC controller, most likely a failed triac. Fairly easy to replace if you can solder parts on a PC board. Search here on the forum for triac and you should find lots of info.
Orville
Had that happen to an CTB16PC Controller {older version ~ V2}, definitely a bad triac in my case, replaced and now that channel works fine. Pretty sure it's the same issue, open a help ticket at the LOR Help Desk and they can get you fixed up with what you need. But they'll need to know which controller you have to know which triac you need as the each version has different triacs in them as far as I recall.. Need more lights
I agree Jim and Orville, I would be condemning the channel 6 Triac.
George Simmons
I try never to agree with Orv, but I believe he and Jim and Scott are likely correct. In fact, I give it a 96% probability.
