Importing channels

LOR 4.2.6

Good afternoon everyone!

I was wondering if there was a way to import channels into a sequence that has existing channels?  Basically I have a 12 strip tree and the channels are good in a sequence I have ..But I have some pixels on the house that I want to use in that sequence.  Can I import just the pixels from the other sequence?  Or do I have to recreate them?

Assuming you are using Sequence Editor, open both files, and you can copy and paste between the two files.

I have misunderstood what you are asking. Are you trying to import the sequencing information or the channel configuration? What I answered was for the first of those.

Ya...the channel configuration is what I am asking about.  There seems to be no way to copy a group from one sequence to another.

No.  there is no way within the LOR software to combine two sets of channel configurations.  However adding even quite a few pixels into an configuration is not any big deal.  You don't have to do it one channel at a time.  Takes all of 15 seconds to add an entire universe of 170 pixels.

Then after what K6ccc said............Then you will EXPORT that channel configuration and give it a name. Now, starting from sctratch, open one of your tree sequences>edit>import/export channel configuration>import>choose the file you created. It will now add the channels to that and any other file you apply the import to.
