Channel buttons not lighting up

For some reason my channel buttons on the left side in my sequences are not lighting up anymore when I am playing a sequence. I don't know if I have clicked on something to turn them off or what has happened. Does anyone have any ideas?

I figured it out. if any newbies have this problem make sure the "view channel button colors" is clicked.
