Singing Faces Matrix's

Thought I would share a project I have worked on the last month or so.I was looking for more that just singing trees so I decided to make 4 20x30 matrix's. Spacing is about 1 inch between pixels. Overall dimensions of each matrix is 2 feet by 3 feet. All of my faces were drawn in Super Star. Most faces were downloaded from google images, imported into SS and the face redrawn as needed. The four different mouth movements were colored in and then exported to the sequence editor.

So far I have about 40 faces. I have singing angels, boys, girls, charlie brown gang, elf's, Grinch, Olaf, Elsa, reindeer, Santa's, snowmen, trees, singing ornaments, light bulbs, stars, snowflakes and even a singing wreath.

Once I have the face as a sequence I found a fairly easy way to convert regular 8 channel singing faces sequence to my matrix singing faces. Takes me about 15 minutes to convert a singing face sequence.

Here are a few examples of what I have programmed so far.

Very nice.  Will be intered to see  how the live matrix looks, compared to  the animation.

I have tested most all the faces on the matrix. As long as you are at least 50 feet away they look good. The matrix's will be about 75 to 100 feet away from the average visitor. Every face that I drew, I would put on the matrix and have my wife and daughter tell me what it was. If they couldn't tell me it got deleted. There were a few of those.
