oilmoney
So you mean to tell me that nobody down there has snowmen or snowflakes? JK. I wanted to add something different and unexpected, I had 2 flamingos in last years display and people really liked them. I bought 2 white flamingos, cut them in half, added 50 CCP's into each and then glued them back together. I'll have 13 on that tree and 1 on top of the spiral tree I'm building this year. I also picked up 2 7ft LED palm trees. Here's a short vid of last years flamingos...

Oh and snow too! Though the thought of be able to decorate in shorts and t-shirt is pretty tempting as well...
1983ss454
See I had the rain, and snow to deal with in Massachusetts. It would poor for days during show season. I will be wearing my shorts during setup this year, I told my wife when we moved here that I'm not wearing anything but shorts and t shirts for the first year Except to work lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jaynee
Last year at our annual Xmas party (which is a gag gift swap event), someone brought two lighted flamingos! I was desperate to get them, and could have, but my family overruled my choice!!! I was so upset - and I'm hoping they return this year because I'm DEFINITELY going to get them somehow, some way! jrock_at_rons
Love it. Great to see a creative 'old school' idea come to life. Now you just need a video of it in action.
Heathcote Dave
It somehow looks like something from New Jersey. We (in Florida) have got a bromeliad tree, which last year was lighted with three plain 10 watt floodlights. This year, probably more light, possibly programmed color-changing with LOR equipment. And we do have a a string-light flamingo, a heron, porpoise, assorted butterflies (bigger and better for this year) and spiders. Alligators are banned as too scary and too dangerous. In terms of plastic flamingos, I saw some terrific made-in-USA ones at the Botanic Garden in Christchurch, New Zealand but haven't managed to find them for sale in the US. Amazing.
