lightingnewb Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 (edited) With the use of API or the knowledge of the file specifications, I can turn my show into something unique and take it from the decent level it is at right now and bring it up to the next level. So, I was wondering if LOR had a public API, and if it is public, how I could get my hands on it? IF the API is not public, then are there file specifications? What would they be? Lastly, suppose knowledge of a public API and the file specifications are unknown. What open source sequencing programs do you recommend I use? I'd sequence in the Open Source program, but will need a way to convert it into a LOR file, so it needs to possess the converter tool as well. Anyone and everyone who can lend a helping hand are welcome to share their input. Thanks! LightingNewb Edited May 20, 2016 by lightingnewb
PhilMassey Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 LOR is proprietary software. You would need to talk to them about that. X lights is a free alternative., don't think it is Open source. Check the DIY Christmas forums and here..... http://nutcracker123.com/nutcracker/releases/

lightingnewb Posted May 21, 2016 Author Posted May 21, 2016 For what I need to do, using XML will be incredibly important. It will be much easier to do what I want with XML rather than a converter.
