zvacman
I searched around a bit and didn't find a topic that dealt with cutting and terminating the end of the cut wires. I was thinking about heat shrinking each of the wires after covering the ends with some hot glue. Leaving enough of a pigtail for future repurposing. Looking for ways that the rest of you do it as I'm sure that some seasoned veterans have better ways to do it. Z
Darryl Lambert
I just dip the ends in liquid tape. Sometimes it takes 2 coats to get good coverage.
k6ccc
The bottom ends of my 12 strings of my pixel tree are just cut off wires - not covered at all. They get sprinkled every few days, and rained on once in a great while. Never had a problem. I will point out that my permanent stuff is better protected. Ron Boyd
I don't do this anymore for that end, but I have done this in the past. Slip on a piece of shrink wrap on each individual wire, add a bit of GE Silicone II, and shrink it.
Cdanna77
I also just glob on some liquid electrical tape and move on. So far so good.
