gsmith37064
Does anyone have any good recommendations on a waterproof tote?I am planning on putting 3 controllers with power supplies in them. Would like to be able to drill holes in it for power and plugs for the controller. This will be left outside in the rain hiding behind the bushes.Wheels would be nice but not a requirement. I thought it would be easy to move this than individual light controller units.
EmmienLightFan
Which controllers do you want to put in it? Normally people say "controllers" (Just like that) refering to CTB16s, but you say power supplies which suggests dumb RGB or pixels. What are you going to put in them? EmmienLightFan
You could get a CG1500. There are mounting plates for a lot of RGB dumb controllers, such as the CMB24D. Unfortunately I can't get an enclosure like this in the UK.
mpageler
Do a google search for waterproof "storage", "totes" "trunks"
indi
I used a Contico 53 gallon Black Plastic Storage Trunk from Lowes for about $60.00. It also has a lock and also can be locked to a tree with a chain if you want. I cut holes in the bottom to run my cables. I nailed two 2x4's and set the trunk on them to make it easy on the cables. chuckmsp
I used this for my CCR controllers this year and it was awesome.http://www.sockitbox.com/
kiplorenzo
I double Pack my Controllers... I usually buy a tote at walmart, Put the power holes in the bottom... any holes (nut and bolts for mounting controllers) get Caulked after placement. We get some serious snow and rain in Colorado. EmmienLightFan
I put my speakers in a food container and they were kept dry. I did not need to make any holes as the wires were thin and would fit between the box and the lid.
smithzone
I use a two tub/trunk systemPlace a 20-30 gallon tub upright and stack the controllers in there - wires go up to the rim and then back down to the ground on the outside - no holes in the tubI then place a larger 40 gallon tub over this (upside down) so they nest
