Now that Christmas has come and gone and i have learned a little from my first run.

I decided to start working on my Halloween sequences for 2016.

My goal is to do "7 Days of Halloween"

Day 1 - 80's music

Day 2 - Dubstep

Day 3 - Country

Day 4 - Rock

Day 5 - Pop

Day 6 - TV and Movie themes

Day 7 - Kids Halloween (on the 31st of course)

So far i have the following pretty much ready.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLbi2Foa1WWhqNue-Ym1k7g/featured

It's all on the house except for the 8 ghosts.

I will be adding a couple Arches and Sun bursts later.

I also have another 20 sequences to upload to youtube.

Take a look and let me know what you think.

Are all your lights RGB?

And why don't you learn to use the visualiser? It looks much better than that... thing.

Yes i am all RGB minus the face. But its going RGB soon as well.

24 Channels running 3 controllers for the house and ghosts.

I am currently building out some arches but not sure how they will look wrapped in rgb strips. Will know soon enough i guess. :)

I have don't much time right now to play around with the visualizer but it's on my list of things to do.

But over all it looks pretty darn good.

You could do pixel arches, or several segments of dumb RGB.

My goal is try several segments of dumb RGB and see how it looks.

Next year i would like to start testing out pixels. It's a fun hobby but dang does it take a lot of time. :)

It is a nice idea, this, but I prefer doing a mix.

Someone might see it on some songs that they really like, then tell someone else, then that person may be disappointed not to have seen that song.

What do you mean by kid's Halloween?

Kids Halloween will be the songs for kids (kid friendly) played on the 31st.

Songs like:

Spooky Scary Skeletons

Who let the Ghosts Out

Monster Mash

Cool to be a Witch

Grim Grinning Ghosts

And so on...

Oh, thats nice. I will be doing most of them.

My Halloween Show was last minute and sequenced in a few days, in the SE, no SuperStar or XLights.

100% RGB, 150 smart pixels and dumb RGB window frames and singing pumpkins.

I only ran for Halloween with a mixture of songs and everyone liked it.

Looks good! Just one thought though have you thought of using more colours then just red and blue? I am not trying to bash your show I think it looks great, but I use and love RGB for all the wonderful colours that it can produce.

I started off with multi colors but people kept telling me to switch to one color because it's easier to change.

So i wanted orange for Halloween but that was 2 colors... So i settled on red.

It seems people enjoy making their own colors????? Who knew :)

Really enjoyed you Halloween Screams video. Awesome. I liked how you tied the projector into it.

You should mix colors! It may be a little harder to change but makes it much more interesting!

That Maroon 5 "Animals" looks awesome....and familiar...LOL! Good job converting it!

No Fastway? the Trick or Treat soundtrack???COME ON!!! Puppet Master is a cool creepy tune too. Just saying. you've done a lot of work there, can't wait to see it. Really looks good!

I'm going to make my whole house into a monster talking face this year, I think I can pull it off pretty well.

Happy Haunting!

My house looked like a face last Halloween, but it was unintentional.

I might do something this year to make it into a huge face with two or three mouth movements.

  • 2 weeks later...

I want to say, that if you want the lights and music to appeal to kids, include pop songs, not kids Halloween songs.

I have a pop music day in there as well.

Just not a whole day dedicated for it because i would have to search for 5-6 more pop sequences.

And then spend days converting them. The wife is starting to look at me funny.... :)

But on Halloween (31st) it's geared towards the kids.

There are not many older kids in my area during Halloween. So i want it to be kid friendly and fun.
