millersound1 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Didn't know how many people know that there is now a .christmas extension I found when i was looking into a domain name. https://www.godaddy.com/help/about-christmas-domain-names-12262
Don Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 The .Christmas TLD launched last year, either in June or July. Most places will offer the extension to you, (including myself) if you want to register it. I was up and running with Synchronized.Christmas shortly after it launched.
EmmienLightFan Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I may buy a domain then. I want to make a website explaining how it works, times, location and stuff. I already have a Joomla server and I have a few spare PCs to run it on but I don't know how to connect a domain to the PC.
jerry72 Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I have had a lot of people ask about me making a website, but i have no idea where to start.
Santas Helper Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 .Xmas would have been nicer and easier to type in. I do my own coding. Created my own websites for years.
kiplorenzo Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 It is best to host a website with a provider... Unless you have a T1 line to your house. I do have a domain in the house and a couple of Webservers, but those are internal. The Webservers do use upload bandwidth and my ISP only allows for 853KB Upload... Which for anyone outside the network, is slow.
