I have been watching some YouTube videos about how to schedule shows and what not. My question is once I schedule a show then what do I do? I currently have all LED lights and have had a make shift light show for the last 5 years using a music box with an iPhone running the music. I have always been intrigued by how this software works. Am I doing something wrong or have I skipped a few steps somewhere.

Welcome to the insanity!  If you want your show to loop continuously use the simple show builder.  I didn't see an FM transmitter on your list which is arguably a necessary item.  Yard speakers are nice but may cause a little neighborly tension.  I have the FM transmitter set to run while the show is running and the power to the yard speakers is on a timer to shut off at 8:30.  This is my first year as well so I am by no means an expert, but I don't feel I gave you any bad advice.

When you say "what do I do next", I take that as the lights/show doesn't work?

Did you configure/set unit id for  controller  via hardware utility?

You also need to "enabable scheuule' once your controller is configured,  made a show and set a schedule.

Hopefully by now, your strings are up on the house or wherever you wanted them. You should have verified the controller is ID#01 with the HWU. Next is to edit each sequence to insure that however they were created, you move things around to your home or how you wish to see them located. The HWU should have already been able to turn on each one individually so that you can verify. Shut down the HWU. You can use the show builder or show editor. In it, you specify each sequence you wish to run, any startup sequences and any shutdown sequence. Save it as a name like 2015show or whatever you like. Then open the Show Scheduler. In there, you tell it what time to start and stop the show. Once its configured, save it. Turn on the Control Panel, then right click on the red bulb down in the tray area of the task bar, left click on "Enable Show" or schedule...whatever it is. At the time you specified, date or day of the week, it'll begin. At the shutdown time, it'll finish the running sequence, then go into shutdown mode.
