Garden Spiral stairs. Need ideas.

I picked this up this summer and would love to use it in our Christmas display. I could put 4 sets of light down the spiral on 4 channels but am wondering if anyone has more ideas

For Halloween I just attached one purple rope light and had plastic pumpkins sorting on each stair

If you have the Time, I would look at some of the WS2811's or Dumb RGB from Ray Wu.. If your looking for quick and have an extra controller, One could do Icicle lights. That will make the way it curls on the outside really stand out and create an effect.

I'm thinking something like 6" LED sphere lights. One each shelf. Could use as a beat element and chasing and random. Could really be unique-ish.
