EmmienLightFan
Can I power some dumb nodes that I have left over directly from the power supply and not going through a controller?
Santas Helper
I don't see why you can't.

mpageler
That's how I test all new 12v light purchases...directly from a power supply.
PhilMassey
Try a 9V battery with leads attached as a handy dandy RGB tester
EmmienLightFan
Try a 9V battery with leads attached as a handy dandy RGB testerGood idea. I am going to use a 9v battery and as well as a 12v small lead acid battery to power a couple of square RGB modules from China. Batteries make it easy as I have no power supplies (Other than the cheap ones that came with my strips, that acctually output 14v at a small load, and have terrible reviews on Amazon) and I don't need to run any wires. All I am trying to do is light up the path for trick or treaters so that they don't trip over wires and can see where they are going, and maybe a Halloween sign or something.
