Coming back to LOR after a few years off

I ordered the LOR system in March 2012 and was only able to use it for the 2012 Christmas season.  Since then, I've lived in places where I couldn't use it, but we just moved and now I'll be able to make a display this year.

My questions have to do with the software package:

  1. The computer that I used previously and had the software on it has died.  I've recovered the hard drive out of it, and have put it into one of those boxes that allows me to USB-connect the old hard drive to a new computer.  The old computer ran Windows Vista, the new one runs Windows 7.  Can I transfer the software to the new laptop?  Installing the same software onto the new computer using the original CD I have may not be an option, thanks to the kids loving to play with the CDs they find around the house.  I'm not certain the CD is still usable.  I do have the license key, however.
  2. I'm not certain at this time which version of the software I'm using, but even if I do have the "newest" one (which I doubt), it hasn't been updated since 2012.  Will that cause problems?

Thanks for your assistance.

Your software is good for life.  Use the links below to pull your license and see the highest version you can download and install.

Light-O-Rama software downloads can be found at http://www1.lightorama.com/sequencing-software-download/. The latest version is at the top of the page and previous versions are located at the bottom of the page. It's a big file and could take several minutes to download so be patient.
