debtoews Posted August 25, 2015 Share Posted August 25, 2015 I have a new computer with 8 USB ports. Im using the HU to find the comm ports. ALL the USB ports are coming up with COMM 4- shouldnt they each be a separate one? I have 4 networks Im going to be running- so I guess Im at a loss- someone help please! dgrant Posted August 25, 2015 Share Posted August 25, 2015 Be sure to connect them to to the same port each time if you disconnect for any reason. Also, in Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, the OS has the ability to turn off USB ports not being used for some length of time. I don't know what the time factor is. You can tell the OS not to turn them off.
