canadianchristmas
Hi, This year I have decided I am going to add blinders to my show so I am going to be stocking up on flood lights and want to find a way to mount them on our gutters without drilling holes, I thought putting some sort of clip on them may work? I have added a picture of the flood light kits below to give you a idea of what I am working with:Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Rayburn
I would recommend a spring clamp. Home Depot sells a nice one for 99 cents. While I have not used these for Christmas lights. I have used them as temporary mounts for other items. I just drilled a hole in the handle and mounted the item to the clamp. http://www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-2-in-Spring-Clamp-80002/100027346

Old Sarge
I got something similaer to this for my floods for Halloween last year..I think I got the 6 inch ones.. Had them clamped up in trees with white floods in asome, red, blue, green etc. in some others for lighting up my grave yard scene.. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Bayco-8.5-Clamp-Light/14003467 example my display for halloween is at... but excuse the bad sound etc... it was my very first LOR use and first time trying to make a video at night with my cam connected to my lap top. the home made singing faces.... were my very first time at trying to make them and the lights were to bright on the faces...lol... live and learn.. tjflory
I use 2 of these with the existing base and 2 1/2" pvc mount clamps on base. The head pivots 90 deg. so mounting on a vertical surface (as I do) is easy. https://www.menards.com/main/work-lights/smart-electrician-1-light-500-watt-7-800-lumen-halogen-work-light/p-2305286-c-7914.htm Cheap and very, very bright. Bizywk
We installed 8 blinders. They're made of single gang outdoor electrical boxes with an installed outdoor light socket and SP-2 wire coming out the hole in the bottom to an LOR AC controller. They quickly and easily fasten onto the gutters using two wire ties and stay secure even in high winds and cold temperatures OCT-Jan. They are quite water resistant and the heat from the light is extended safely away from the house. I'll see if I have any pictures I can post later.
Dcroc
As much as I love the thought of it, I'm not sure I can use blinders. The lights I already have light up the neighbors living room across the street. They have already hinted at not caring for my new hobby.
