Fixture order

Recommended Posts

I created a 360 mega tree.  8 channels green and 8 red.

Went into properties to change the order of fixtures.  ie:  1/9    2/10    3/11, etc.

When viewing the actual prop, fixtures are still in their original order.

List of fixtures have not changed in the Object Selection area either.

Any ideas.

THanks again

I'm sure someone can answer better than myself...

But, for me, I don't try to change the order of the fixture.

Just change the order assigned to channels to each fixture.

Then it will look correct when playing your sequence.

For example:

Fixture 1 is green . It's controller 1, channel 1.

Fixture 2 is red. It's controller 1, channel 9.

Fixture 3 is green. It's controller 1, channel 2.

Etc...

Good luck

But then what is the purpose of the dialogue box saying you can change the order of fixtures, yet the order in the actual visualizer does not change.

I am hoping I don't have to do it strand by strand.  Then using the mega tree prop provided is not much use at all.

Thanks though.  Sure appreciate your input.

I've had to do almost the entire visualizer one fixture at a time. Just remember that it's worth it to get it right. Because when you complete it, it works with all sequences - existing and new alike.

Just have to change it when adding new props. Tedious for sure - but 100% worth your time.

Good luck.
