Connecting Servodog outputs to control a relay

Can anyone assist me in connecting a digital  output to control a relay using my servodog controller? I can't seem to get it to work. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I can't see it. It should be simple but for some reason it eludes me. Thanks in advance.

I am doing exactly that. I assume you are using one of the digital / servo ports configured as a digital output (channels 1-3 or 6-8). The big thing to remember is that the digital outputs are very low power. I have the output of the SD driving a transistor which controls the relay. When I'm home I can send you a schematic if desired.
