Newbie with all kinds of Q's

First, I tried looking in the newbie thread for answers. I found some but not all. My questions are-

 

-If I download someone elses sequence when I go to open it in sequence editor it wont open if its a zip file, I get a dialouge box that reads "cannot open file" with the file name. Is there anything I can do to get the file to open?

 

-On another sequence I downloaded, the song I downloaded from amazon to use isnt the same timing, can I change the start time of the song in the sequence?

Did you unzip the file? As for the timings, how far off are they? If the timing is close you can skew the track left or right to get the timing right.

Before trying to open it, right click on the file in the file manager, tell it to unzip. Tell it where you want the unzipped files to go.

You can 'skew timing' of the sequence to make it start earlier or later.
