Superstar for sequencing non pixel lights

A question about using the Superstar sequencer for sequencing a standard show layout (non pixel, ccp,or ccr). 

 

Using the instant sequencer, does anyone have a preference for the TCM settings to get a generalization for the sequence to be made?    I.E., creating chases, long fades etc.

 

Or do you just create a sequence, see what you have, if you dont like it try again?

 

Thanks for any input and don't worry, I don't need it to sequence any songs this year.
