CCR Tree Designs

If I use smart or dumb RGB for a 3 channel star, Do I need to add 3 additional CCR to super star then to SE ch config or it can be just one CCR (13th) added to super star 12 CCR then set the 13th CCR to match any ON/OFF/effect to the star? 

I do CCR using sandevice e682.

I'm using 1/2" clear shrink-wrap to mount RGB strips to 5/8" banding material about every 8-10 inches.  The Good - the shrink wrap allows the strip to move a little so it won't be overstretched and if shrink-wrap ends up over an LED - it still shows.  I've heard zip ties eventually cut into the outside tubing.  The Tricky - shrinking the wrap without melting the banding material - takes a little pracitice with a butane torch.  The Bad - it's a PITA to slip 25 shrink-wrap bands over 16 strips - something good to do while watching the boob-tube.
