smeighan
A new developer reached out to me last week, Logan Moore. He said he built a little program to tap beats into and produce an audacity label file. He asked if it was useful? Well, i think many people would like the extra option of tapping out a beat. You will find the XLTap program on the releases page. XLTap by Logan Moore-------------------- Version 1.0 This program will allow you to open a sound file and the tap out beats. The beat timing will be written toa file that looks exactly as if it came from Audacity. 1) First open a sound file using the "Select Audio File" option2) Click Play3) Tap out beats by either left clicking inside the box marked "Tap Here!" or press the space bar4) Click stop when you have marked up your song5) Click "Export" and give a filename. This will will automatically get a .txt extension. In xLights create a new sequence using the third open, New Musical SequenceBe sure to check the Audacity box, you do have a a timing file to use Give you sound file and then the timing file you just created. A new file is created using all the beat marks from XLTap.
