The CMB24 connects to the standard LOR network via Cat5/6 so you sequence it as you wish. The strips will connect to the controller. You must have a power supply for it to handle whatever load. Each RGB strip only has four wires, +12V, R, G, B. So you need to think about extensions to the controller location. Being this is low voltage, line loss of the wire needs to be considered. The larger the wire, the less loss.

Thanks for tip. Spent a lot of time last night reading the forums and catching up on rgb dumb set up. what do y'all recommend for rbg ribbon: 5050 300 led or 150? I know with 150 I can use more on a power supply because less pull on wattage and amperage but I do not know how much less light there is. Considering the lor store sells the 150 per 5, I figure that should be sufficient. Also should I completely rule out the smaller and cheaper 3528 for light show?
