Box on Rails
Hi all. I have found a lot of good posts on how to splice and repair dumb RGB strips but none gave the size of he heat shrink that was used for the repair. I plan on adding a couple of feet to some of my strips. I am using the 4 pin connector and then sealing them with silicone. my question is what size clear heat shrink should I use for the repair? thanks Kenny Jure
CK57
buy the 3/4" and you will be in good shape. I bought some 1" to test and found it was larger than needed. You will be surprised how much this size will shrink down with heat application.

Frank Farmer
If you get the clear shrink tubing, you will be able to see any leaks or bubbles.

k6ccc
I bought what I used from DigiKey http://www.digikey.com/ This is the last heat shrink i bought: http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en?WT.z_header=search_go〈=en&site=us&keywords=WM7377-ND&x=0&y=0&formaction=on This is the tubing that has the goo on the inside that melts when heated. More expensive but highly recommended. This size fits over the silicon tube RGB strips that many of us use...
