New - going with a bang

Hello all,

Ok, I finally decided to up my lighting game. I need to add more life to the holidays. I have a few questions.

 

I was looking at the "show time central starter package" and I really like the CCR. I really don't want to use a laptop (being in Canada). Can I run the CCR off the Showtime Central and avoid using a laptop?

 

How flexiable are the CCR? Can I bend the 16ft to make 2 8ft? (Smaller tree affect?)

 

Knowing that more is better, but less is cheaper. Should I go for a single controller (16 channel) and 2 CCR or just do 3 Controllers?

The mini-director that comes in the Showtime Central can control CCR's. However as your display grows in the coming years (and you know it will) the mini-director is going to have a hard time keeping up as you add more and more CCR's. 

 

Ribbons: check out page 9 of the documentation. It talks about the flexibility of the ribbon.

 

Which route to go? That's up to you. I could make arguments for both routes.
