portcity_gt Posted December 19, 2013 Share Posted December 19, 2013 I didnt really see a section this would best fit in but maybe it can help someone...or maybe its been done 100 times already. I got to thinking about the building of mini trees with tomato/hog wire and realized, theres no need in them being 3d in most cases.so I had some old shelving materials laying around work (angle iron with holes in it), I used a 4'and a 3' piece and welded it together one foot from the bottom (you could use bolts) and also welded a bolt as a hook at the top, cut the bottom to a point so it can stick in the ground. Then attached the lights to the holes with zip ties, with the tree being 3'x3' a 100 count (21') strand makes 7 equal rows, I think im going to add a second channel in the gaps though.
