smjosephrn
I'm trying to calculate the channel configuration of my display. Does anyone know how many amps are needed per 100 watt spot lamp?
RayNMesa
To calculate the circuit power...The formula is W = V x I or,W = I2 x R or,W = V2 / R .833 ampsor just go here> http://www.planetchristmas.com/FigurePower.htm
lleibeck
I generally "ball park" it by taking the watts and dividing by the volts. To make it easy I round the volts down to 100. So a 100 watt bulb / 100 volts = 1 amp.As seen in the previous post the actual amps is .83. By rounding you build a little buffer.Lee
smjosephrn
Thanks for the replies. Once I did the math I did the same rounded up to 1 amp/lamp. I was concerned because I had 4 spots on one circuit and I didn't want to exceed the rating. Turns out that I needn't have worried too much my total amps for the 16 channel LOR is only 12 amps.
