dartsharks1 Posted November 15, 2013 Share Posted November 15, 2013 Hi all, I'm planning on putting together two 20' arches each with 9 channels and was wondering about the sleeve method. I saw that the original poster of the sleeve method used a 10' pvc. Has anyone put together a 20' arch using the sleeve method and care to share your experience with it? k6ccc Posted November 16, 2013 Share Posted November 16, 2013 I have never done an arch, but I have a few comments. 20 foot using 3/4 inch PVC seems awfully flimsy to me. You would very likely need to add guy wires to it. Also, I rather suspect that 1 inch PVC for the sleeves will not be large enough. As I recall, a 1 inch PVC pipe will not slip over a 3/4 inch PVC pipe at all even when it's straight. Add the bend of the 3/4 inch and I would be surprised if you can get the sleeve over the 3/4 inch. Plan on larger pipe for the sleeve.
