Randall Huber Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Just curious if any one has found some other place to get thepower supply for dumb rgb strips.
sax Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Ray Wu. But shipping kinda high. Holiday Coro has them and so does Kevin at Creative Lighting Displays. http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/350W-Dual-Output-Switching-Power-Supply-88-264VAC-input-12V-350W-output-CE-and-ROHS-approved/701799_289599951.htmlhttp://www.holidaycoro.com/RGB-DMX-DIY-Power-Supplies-s/1862.htmhttp://store.creativelightingdisplays.com/Power-Supplies_c21.htm
bwhitehead Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Check ebay. There is a person out of Portland, OR that is selling the same one from Amazon for 27.00 shipped and that prioity shipping through usps. I have had good luck with them so far. I think the ebay name is razzeldazzle or something like that.
Jim Hans Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I too would like some suggestions. I sequenced 4 CCF's into my show this year and LOR doesn't have them available. They do have the LED flood package for sale but no power supply for it? I am very disappointed in the decline of LOR in terms of hardware. It appears they have shifted their focus to software at the expense of hardware. The whole reason I have been buying LOR for years is their " plug and play" hardware allowed electronically ignorant people like me participate in this hobby. When I submitted a support ticket to LOR asking to recommend a power supply for their LED flood package they responded much as the posts above..... Just search on eBay. OK, my search on eBay resulted in over a thousand products....... Which one works with what I need??? Again, my dedication to LOR was largely based on being able to just purchase the products and know that they were not only of high quality but also that all I had to do was plug them into an outlet and then plug in the lights knowing it all would work. If I can't depend onLOR to provide the hardware I guess I won't be able to plan on expanding my show next year as I have every year for 5 years... All the hours I invested into sequencing the floods into my show this year is a big waste of time and a very big disappointment!
Ken Benedict Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 My recommendation would be these 10 watt RGB floods and controller for $350: http://store.lightorama.com/10wrgbfl8pa.html and this power supply: http://store.creativelightingdisplays.com/12V-DC-360W-30A-Regulated-Switching-Power-Supply-PS-12V-360W.htm Install into this enclosure: http://store.creativelightingdisplays.com/CableGuard-CG-1500-Enclosure-CG-1500.htm It will probably work way better than the CCFs (as long as you're not using macros). Creative Lighting also has a power supply/controller package available; just buy some of the 10 watt LOR RGB floodlights and install them. And it's all in stock, ready to ship. Yay.
bwhitehead Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) Here the link to the ones I been buying. http://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-DC-30A-360W-Regulated-Switching-Power-Supply-/261198916470?pt=US_Lighting_Parts_and_Accessories&hash=item3cd0ab2b76 I have also bought from Creative display too. It is a good power supply too. Little more expensive for the same thing. And shipping a little more from there too. If you want a better one for 10-12 dollars more you can get the meanwell from Power Gate LLC . These power supplies are better then then the ones I listed. http://www.powergatellc.com/mean-well-se-350-power-supply.html I use the SE-350-12v for most of my stuff.
