dgrant
As long as the hard drive didn't fail, the files are easily recoverable. If you wish, you can send the hard drive to me and I'll pull them off of it and send them to you, along with your hard drive. Before going that route, what are the indications, if any that you have from it? Does it attempt to power up at all? If you wish to respond, take this offline to the PM's and I'll help you try to figure out what happened. Edited October 26, 2013 by dgrant
Surfing4Dough
Suggest buying one of these:http://www.amazon.com/Vantec-CB-ISATAU2-Supports-2-5-Inch-5-25-Inch/dp/B000J01I1G Open the "dead" computer. Plug the hard drive into the above cord and you can then plug the cord into an external USB port on a different computer. In a sense makes it a temporary external hard drive. Likely will be able to pull data (including sequences) off the hard drive to transfer it to the 2nd computer. Should be able to find plenty of sequences here to browse through also: http://www.christmascarolina.com/forums/links/sequences-free-34/ http://www.highcountrylights.com/remository/Light-O-Rama-Sequences/ Curious how many sequences you ended up getting done in the past 2 weeks?http://forums.lightorama.com/index.php?/topic/28308-32-channel-sequences/#entry265522 Bummer to lose them. dgrant
That's what I do too...adapt to a USB and pull the files. There's other ways too of course but its doubtful that his hard drive failed. If the computer just stopped powering up, probably the power supply itself. There's other possible failures, such as memory, motherboard, video card and etc... Jim Hans
I know this is like the "I told you so" moment, but perhaps others reading this will heed the warning and learn from your unfortunate experience. EVERYONE NEEDS TO BACK UP THEIR LOR FILES.

brewers
Thanks for all the help, I took it to a buddies computer tech and he was able to retrieve from hard drive. Apparently video card or something prevented stuff from loading. Got them on a USB Drive, will reload and MAKE A BACKUP!!!
