k6ccc Posted August 24, 2013 Posted August 24, 2013 I discovered something this evening that I have not seen before. Most of us that have ordered RGB smart pixel strips from China are familiar with the issue where the data order of the colors is not what we expect, (i.e. RBG rather than RGB for example). However this evening I was wiring up some RGB dumb strips and found that the printed label on each section was wrong. The strip was labeled +12, G, R, B, however what was labeled as G was really Blue and was labeled as B was really Green. Fortunately I tested the first one and found the error. An easy fix, but I'm glad I discovered it before I wired up all 9 sections! These were 12V 60 RGB LEDs 5050 strips I had gotten from Ray Wu a while back. Like I said, not really a problem, but don't assume anything.
