zanclus Posted August 12, 2013 Share Posted August 12, 2013 Hello. I am currently running 3 dmx universes. What id like to know is can I run Smart and Dub on the same universe. I am thinking yes but want to get other opinions. Currently my universes are set as follows:Univ. 1 running strand of 150 smart pixelsUniv. 2 running strand of 150 smart pixelsUniv. 3 running strand of 100 smart pixels I also have 66 channels of Dumb rgbs (coro stars) That I would like to run. Would it be better to say combine the Smart pixels 170 per Univ.then add the Dumb to the "free" channels on last Univ? I would have to have to purchase another Dongle this season..... Scott Cockroft Posted August 12, 2013 Share Posted August 12, 2013 You can mix them without any problem. I would group them based on where they are in the display not the type of pixel. That just makes it easier to hook everything up. The only limitation is you can't go over 512 channels per universe, which you probably already know.
