DanV Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 k9smith - that's a nice looking tree.
k9smith Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Thanks, but I'm not going to use it this year. It took up to much storage space. I think i am going to use one of Darryl Browns mega trees because they can be broken down fairly small.
DanV Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 I used a DarrylB 10' tree last year. It was a hit! The only thing that I'm worried about is the light strings seem to keep getting shorter as the price of copper goes up. Lights from 2 years ago barely reached from the top to the bottom 25-27' lighted length I think, folded in half ofcourse. I saw lights from 2006 were even shorter! So I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do for lights. I suppose I'll just have to string the lights around the bottom, up to the top then zip tie 'em wherever the string reaches to coming back down. Not idealy how I'd like to do it but it should work.I had Philips decorator series last year and they were perfect. I think the lighted length was 32'. Purple & Gold. Will probably do different colors this year though.Yes, they do break down easily & not too bad to store
bauera2 Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Would one of you have a link to DarrylB's instructions for the Mega tree? I want to build one for this years display. Did a search on this sit but did not find any. Thanks, Andrew
DanV Posted September 25, 2007 Author Posted September 25, 2007 I believe you have to get the instructions and kit from Darryl's website: http://www.christmaslightshow.com/. I used his 10' megatree. http://www.christmaslightshow.com/xcart/home.php?cat=2 .
