imacericg
I am thinking about incorporating my halogen-based landscape lighting into the display. Basically, the show will start with the landscape lighting on, then after a sound effect, will turn off and the real show will start. Will the halogen lights & transformer be able to handle it? I am thinking its just on for 10sec, then off for 10min, repeat. Will this kill it, or will it be ok?
caniac
my concern would be how many Halogen's on how many controllers, I was trying to use Halogen based black lights and they kept tripping circuits so I switched to LED black light floods. testraub
If your transformer has a clock in it you will need to disable it. I use two differant Malibu transformers for my halloween stuff (12v) and they dim and shimmer and such just fine. The clocks don't like the voltage changes. You should be fine as long as you don't overload the transformers. Tom Straub
Dave H1
Have you thought about leaving the transformer on continuously and just control the bulb/bulbs with a DC board??
scubado
Have you thought about leaving the transformer on continuously and just control the bulb/bulbs with a DC board??This would allow you to dim/fade the lights too. When controlling the transformer, you can only use on/off and NO fading.
