copotay Posted January 25, 2013 Share Posted January 25, 2013 I have been messing with the demo software and think I am starting to get the hang of it. I plan on getting my first controller, the residential 16 and a mini director during one of the sales. I will stay small for right now with only one controller and was wondering, I watched a video on YouTube were the guy is setting it up with the hardware utility on his pc. Would I still need to plug in this single 16 channel into my computer to register it if I am going to use the mini director? I know it's about assigning the controller if I had a lot of them, but just wondered with only 1 if I still need to assign it as number 1. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
james campbell Posted January 25, 2013 Share Posted January 25, 2013 all pc model controllers are factory set to unit one,but you can make it any number you want as long as it matches your sequence.and also the software only supports certain unit id's basic will support 1 and 2 basic pus 1 -4 standard 1-8 and advance any number you want Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
