Don
Your USB485 adapter is not connected correctly. Try going through the Hardware Utility to make sure it can talk to your controllers. Also, make sure no other LOR program is running when you enable the shows. Only one LOR program can access the COM port at a time.

Orville
Can I do a test/dummy run of the schedule without connecting the USB 485 adapter and the lor controllers. ThanksNope, you'll get an error message. And if you don't have the USB485 connected the next time your computer starts and you have the LOR Control Panel to autostart and you had enabled shows WITHOUT the USB485 attached, it will create an error every time your computer reboots and this will continue until you connect the USB485 and then disable the shows from the control panel. This is what WILL happen if you try and run a show without the USB485 connected to the computer. You don't have to have the controllers connected, the show will run with them disconnected, but the USB485 MUST be connected for the show to run and not generate an error, now you won't see anything happening except in the LOR Control Panel window if you have it opened on your desktop, it will show a running log of what's happening, when the sequence started, when it ended, next sequence, wether show is in standby mode waiting for the time to start, ending the show, etc. Other than that, nothing else will be visible to know what's going on unless you have a controller/controllers connected and lights connected to those controllers channels. No USB485 = No Show will run at all..You can use the HWU and the SE without the USB485 attached to write to an SD Card for a Director unit or to create and work on a sequence. But to run a show from the PC will absolutely require the USB485 be connected. Edited November 25, 2012 by Orville
Orville
Looking at your log, have you installed the latest FTDI drivers for the USB485? Or have you installed any FTDI driver? This driver IS REQUIRED for the USB485 dongle to work and communicate with the LOR Controllers/MP3 Director units, ELL's etc. If this driver is not installed, you will get comm port errors in that instance too. You will also get them if they are installed and the USB485 dongle isn't connected when you open the HWU or try to enable and run a show.Look at Windows Update for the latest FTDI driver.
