stop the music

I would like to stop the music while sequencing and restart without going back to the begining all the time. How do I do that?

I thought it was the space bar but none of the timing is correct when you re-start it.

Couple tips:

1. Click a cell, hit spacebar, music starts from there. Hit spacebar again, music stops. If you do nothing and hit the spacebar again, music starts from highlited cell.

2. click and drag along the timeline near the top. you will be locked in to play the highlited area only when hitting the spacebar. Great for finding a timing mark and doing your sequencing. Click again in the timeline to cancel or move to another spot. Play music at half speed for matching music with the timeline.

Another option is to change the settings. Go under Play, Play Range and click on the From Sequence.

Is there a short cut to play at half speed? Or is the menu the only way to get there?

This would be a great thing to add to the custom keyboard mapping preferences.

Also theres the play to option, you have it play entire sequence, play only visible screen, play from selection as well. I use play only visible screen as I can hammer on one section over and over again till its how I want it.
